We stand behind the health of our puppies in plain, written terms. Here is what that means, and what we ask of you in return.
A healthy start, backed in writing
Every puppy leaves us examined, current on an age appropriate vaccination and deworming schedule, and in sound health to the best of our knowledge and our veterinarian’s. Each puppy comes with a written health guarantee covering congenital and hereditary defects for a period of 2 year from the date you take your puppy home. The full written guarantee travels with your puppy and spells out the specifics in detail.
If a covered condition is diagnosed within that window by a licensed veterinarian, contact us right away and we will make it right according to the terms of your written guarantee. Our aim is simple: no family should be left alone with a serious problem that traces back to how a puppy started.
What we ask of you
The guarantee stays active when you hold up your side, which is straightforward. Have your own veterinarian examine your puppy within 2 years of arrival. Keep the puppy current on the vaccination and care schedule your vet recommends. Feed a quality diet and keep the puppy at a healthy weight. And keep your paperwork, since the records that came home with your puppy are part of the guarantee.
A few things fall outside any breeder’s control and are not covered, including injuries, accidents, parasites or illness picked up after the puppy leaves us, and conditions that result from neglect of the basic care above. None of that is unusual, and all of it is written out clearly in the document you receive.
