Bringing them home

Getting your puppy home safely

We have placed puppies with families in nearly every corner of the country. Travel day is something we take seriously, and we make it as calm and simple as we can.

We have done this a lot

Most of our families do not live nearby, and that is completely normal. After 22 years, sending a puppy off to a new home is something we have done more times than we can count, and we have learned how to do it in a way that keeps the puppy comfortable and keeps you in the loop. Your puppy is healthy, vet checked, and travel ready long before it ever sets out.

When you are ready to talk travel, we start with where you are and work backward from there. Some families want their puppy as soon as it is old enough to go. Others want to reserve now and have us hold their puppy a little longer until life settles down. Either way is fine. A deposit holds your pup, and we keep it right here with us, loved and cared for, until the day works for you.

From that point on you are never guessing. You will know the plan, the timing, and who is bringing your puppy to you. If this is your first time bringing a dog home from a distance, lean on us. Walking nervous first-timers through it is one of our favorite parts of the job.

Ways we get puppies home

We will talk through which of these fits you and your puppy best. There is no single right answer, it depends on where you are and what you are comfortable with.

Flight nanny
Most popular for long distance
A trained courier flies with your puppy in the cabin, right beside them the whole way, and hands the pup directly to you at your nearest major airport. Never cargo, never alone. [COST — add your flight nanny fee range.]
Ground transport
Good for shorter routes
For some regions we can line up a reputable ground transporter who drives your puppy to an agreed meeting point closer to you, with rest and care along the way. [COST — add your ground transport details.]
Come to us
For families who want to visit
You are always welcome to make the trip and pick your puppy up in person. It is a lovely way to meet us and see where your pup grew up. [PICKUP — add your general area or meeting details if you want them public.]

What travel costs

Travel is priced on its own, separate from the puppy, and it comes down to how far your pup is going and how it gets there. We do not pad it and we do not make you guess. Once we know your city, we get you a real number you can plan around. [TYPICAL RANGE — add your usual travel cost so families know what to expect.]

Common questions about travel

The things families ask us most before travel day.

Yes. With a cabin flight nanny, your puppy stays in the cabin with an experienced courier the entire flight, never down in cargo. We only work with couriers who do this for a living and know how to keep a young pup calm.

We plan the shortest, least stressful route we can. A flight nanny trip is often same day from our door to your airport. For ground routes it depends on distance, and we will give you the timing up front. [TYPICAL TIMING — adjust to your usual routes.]

Absolutely. You are always welcome to come to us and take your puppy home yourself. Just let us know and we will set up a time. [AREA — add your general location if you want it public.]

That is no problem at all. A deposit reserves your puppy and we will happily hold it, cared for right here with us, until your timeline works. Just tell us roughly when you will be ready.

Travel cost is separate from the price of the puppy and is the buyer’s responsibility. We confirm the amount with you before anything is booked, so there is nothing unexpected.

Your puppy travels with its vet health certificate and its vaccination and deworming records, plus feeding notes so you can keep its routine steady those first few days. [INCLUDED — add anything else you send along: crate, blanket, starter food, toy.]
